ways to promote the MBB forum?

Post by Nash-1 on Wed Mar 19, 2008 9:12 am

I was thinking maybe we could brainstorm on ways to promote the MBB forum further Laughing

and I have suggestion to the constructor, why not make the forum invisible to lurkers (guests), I am not pinpointing anywhere but I saw that a forum was using mbb's ideas a la lettre Razz that is they use the same thread topics on mbb to gain members' interest or i dont know what. so i suggest making it available (readable) to registered members only.
also i know here everything goes on a majority vote so those who are for this let know here itself Wink

OK I will make threads temporarily invisible to guests till we come up with a final decision.

i don't think it has to be that strict! Razz let them copy if they do. what I like about MBB is that it's open and you are free to lurk and you participate if you want. pa kav fr li closed astere, genre register if you want to read Evil or Very Mad

hey people I suggest to let it be visible to everyone. why? because MBB is an open ground for bloggers and for people who like to hang around like me. and i think that making it too strict and closed will make us feel pressured in a sense. it really turns me off when i see forums with lots of rules and conditions. i also hate forums having "vips" and "elite members". this totally sucks. sorry if i have been too frank ya

I also vote for not making it invisible. In fact if you make it invisible it will be less accessible, less members would like to join if they don't know at all what is being discussed here. Maybe a better idea might be to leave the forums as is and create one for registered members only (the underground). It shows on the forums homepage but has subtitle "for registered members only". Many lurkers would be interested to know "ki nou p kozer ladan"
It's not gonna be for any elite members just to make lurkers curious.

hmm just a suggestion. Razz

Yeah, make it uninvisible... Razz

Actually, you can decide which ones to restrict to members only.... well, i don't see any of the forums should be actually hidden, since there's nothing top-secret in there! Razz

MBB is great as it is. to improve a little and let more people know about it I think the best way is to let other bloggers know about the brethren and up to them to see if they want to join. I have a personal experience of the benefits of mbb to blogs Razz I just noticed i have a google pr 2 when my only readers are mbbians shy
I'm not like them
But I can pretend

i vote for tatooing MBB url on women's face. men like women. more males will show up here.

to gain more femal members, good ole' flirting from current male members would do - while flirting, do mention the URL of mbb.

on a more serious note: passing on the word and flyers seem to be good solutions. brb - i've to tattoo someone. wlol
